Under the leadership of Doris McLallen, a Democratically aligned group has formed on the Eastside. Eastside Dems aims to be a home for like-minded Dems on the Eastside. Meetings will be held on the 3rd Saturday of each month at the Cartwright Food Hall, downtown Greer. Meetings will be a mix of social gathering and conversation, with some information sharing and opportunities for getting involved presented.

Twenty-seven Eastside Dems attended the inaugural meeting on Nov. 18 and participated in a discussion of women in leadership, precinct leadership, and gun violence prevention advocacy.

The next meeting is December 16 at 9 a.m.
