What’s in it for Greenville?

Federal infrastructure grants are the topic for November meeting

South Carolina has received $3.2 billion in funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, spearheaded by President Joe Biden. That funding is earmarked for over 173 specific projects covering roads and bridges, public transportation, water systems, and internet access.

But what’s in it for Greenville?

Our November speakers will break this down for us at the meeting at noon, November 13 at the Kroc Center, 404 Westfield St.

  • How much money is earmarked for both the county and the city?
  • What major projects are on the list?
  • When we will start to see work underway on some of the more visible projects?

Featured Speakers

  • City Councilperson Dorothy Dowe will speak about the city-specific projects.
  • County Councilperson Ennis Fant will address the countywide projects.
  • Appalachian Council of Governments Deputy Director Chip Bentley will provide a regional perspective and talk about how ACOG works with local governments.

This program idea was member-generated, so if you’ve got an idea for a program, please let us know.

Another big part of our November meeting will be celebrating election results, so don’t miss out! The meeting will be a hybrid, so if you’re unable to be there in person, please join us via Zoom. Both registration links are below. 👇👇
