Rev. Sharon Risher lost everything on June 17, 2015. The day Dylan Roof murdered nine members – including Risher’s mother – of the Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston. Since that day, Rev. Risher has journeyed from desolation to anger to activism, becoming an advocate for gun violence prevention laws nationally and an outspoken supporter of the Everytown Survivor’s Network.
