DESCRIPTION:Dr. Duncan Buell\, NCR Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of South Carolina will speak about the security of elections and computer hardware. He will talk about the process of verifying that voter registration databases and election results have not been corrupted by malware/hacking\, and the post-election evidence-based analysis and auditing of results to provide increased confidence in the certified election results. \nDr. Buell has worked more than 10 years on election integrity and computer security.

DESCRIPTION:The League of Women Voters is taking action to end partisan and incumbent-protective gerrymandering in South Carolina\, so that voters are choosing their representatives and not the other way around. The meeting will serve as an explainer on redistricting\, including the need for redistricting reform in South Carolina. \n\n\nFrom 6:00 to 6:30\, there will be a “postcard party”. All materials will be provided. \n\nThe program will begin at 6:30. The event is free and open to the public.
