A statement by County Chair Amanda McDougald Scott

It is time for the County of Greenville to join with the City of Greenville in rejecting at the polls one of the most notorious, traitorous criminals in US history. 

All for personal and political gain, this criminal:

• embraces the spread of autocracy, disinformation, foreign involvement in U.S. elections, and fascist ideology through his alignment with and support of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
• opposes a bipartisan border policy negotiated when Congress worked the way functioning governments should.
• was convicted of sexual assault and defamation.
• stands indicted on 91 felony charges in four different jurisdictions.

The Greenville County Democratic Party stands with President Biden at this critical juncture in US history, and calls upon the rest of our county to vote their values and do the same.
