DESCRIPTION:The South Carolina chapter of Moms Demand Action will host a virtual event on Tuesday\, April 26\, 2022 at 7pm called\, “United in Action.” Our focus will be on Community Violence Intervention programs (CVIs)\, which are proven to reduce gun violence in the neighborhoods where they are implemented. We will educate attendees about CVIs\, hear directly from CVI partner organizations working across the state\, learn about current legislation that would ensure South Carolina’s CVI programs receive critically needed funding\, and finally we will take action in support of this important legislation.
