DESCRIPTION:IUSC is hosting a fundraiser and blood drive for One Blood at Grateful Brew April 12th from 9am to 2pm. There is always a need for blood donations and we at IUSC are teaming up with Grateful Brew to do our part to help increase the supply and save lives. Each person donating will receive an online gift card for $20 and likely some One Blood swag (shirt\, tote-bag\, etc). For those that are on fixed incomes\, but would like to donate to IUSC\, this is a great opportunity to donate $20 to IUSC. We are in great need for funds to be used for our campaign to hold our government accountable to its constituents. Please note that we can only receive online contributions\, but we will be able to help anyone navigate that if needed. DESCRIPTION:Indivisible Upstate SC Hosts “The People’s Empty Chair Town Hall” to Demand Accountability \nIn the absence of meaningful engagement from elected officials\, Indivisible Upstate SC is hosting The People’s Empty Chair Town Hall to give the community a space to voice their concerns\, share their stories\, and demand accountability from those in power. \nThis community-led event provides an opportunity for citizens to come together\, discuss pressing issues\, and highlight the absence of leaders who refuse to face their constituents. A chair will be left symbolically empty for those who continue to ignore the voices of the people they were elected to serve. \nThe town hall is open to all on a first-come\, first-served basis. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early\, as space inside the venue is limited. For those who cannot enter\, a peaceful picket will be held outside to ensure all voices are heard. \n“This event is about making it clear that we will not be ignored\,” said Cindy Davis\, a representative of Indivisible Upstate SC. “If our elected officials won’t listen\, we will still speak.
