SUMMARY:Greenville's Green Ribbon Advisory Committee public meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Climate Reality Project’s Upstate SC Chapter has been working actively over the past two years with City Council and the Green Ribbon Advisory Committee to advocate for a climate action plan.  The city is now partnering with the Shi Institute for Sustainable Communities at Furman University to develop “SustainableGVL“: a plan to protect our natural resources\, improve the health of the region’s watersheds and reduce the City’s carbon footprint. \nPublic involvement will be a critical piece of the project. The City will use surveys and public meetings to offer opportunities for participation.  The project kickoff on July 29th at 4PM\, is our first opportunity for input and we want to make the most of it – please join us there if you can.

DESCRIPTION:The City of Greenville and the Green Ribbon Advisory Committee are excited to host a solar energy workshop as a formal kick-off to the Solarize Greenville campaign.  The city has invited Climate Reality Project to attend and participate in an open-house booth format. \n  \nThe intent of the workshop is to inform the public on the process\, benefits and costs of installing solar energy on local homes and businesses.   The workshop will have a structured presentation format\, combined with a more informal open house format\, where the public can collect information from a variety of booths representing a wide variety of local organizations.

DESCRIPTION:Join hands with concerned people around the world on Sept. 20 – three days before the UN Climate Summit in NYC\, to demand transformative action be taken to address the climate crisis. The youth have been leading the way and demanding bolder action\, and now it’s time for everyone else to back them up.
