Hey, fellow Democrats. First and foremost, thank YOU for your dedication to the GCDP and being a delegate!

I wanted to announce that I am re-running for the Greenville County Executive Committeewoman. While I wish I had time to explain my reasons in person, I will do my best here.

I’ve been involved in the county party for a number of years and held my current role for 2 years. I have seen how important experience is with procedures, deadlines, communication, and decisions that need to be made – often at a moment’s notice. And with the decisions that could come up in the most critical election of our lifetime, I believe experience and continuity is important for this role. Continuity on the Executive Committee is also important with changes throughout county party leadership.  I will fully support whomever is elected Chair and continue to further our gains here in the Upstate.

Also, I have worked to create a voice on the committee and within leadership of the state party and know what it takes to get state support. I will engage deeply to ensure that Greenville County has representation as the highest populated county in South Carolina.

Additionally I believe I have the ability to translate what can be very cumbersome meetings to the average voter. I also have the ability to build and bridge relationships with all faces of the Democratic Party, from moderate to progressive. I realize that my role is to represent all of our Democrats, not one group over another. And, understanding the importance of neutrality in local and state primary elections to ensure fairness for all candidates and delegates is critical.

I have the drive and heart to build this county as a Democratic stronghold for years to come, so that my kids can live happy and healthy lives in the community we all hold dear. And that takes building relationships across the state and knowing who can help us get the support to Greenville community.
