Join GCDP Huddle to support veterans in May

In May, we join on Memorial Day, as a community and nation, to remember the many Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice to create, secure and defend the United States of America. We also honor those currently serving in our nation’s uniform on Armed Forces Day.

This month, The GCDP Huddle is supporting The LCpl Jordan Haerter Home for Transitioning Veterans, which is operated by the Fellow Countrymen Organization. Fellow Countrymen’s mission is to prevent Veteran suicide by providing transitional housing; ensure Veterans receive all eligible benefits and gain meaningful employment through mentorship.

The GCDP Huddle will be joined By Tim Henry, an officer in the Greenville Chapter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart and by retired US Air Force Lt. Colonel, and Huddle member, Jim Wakeley to collect your Donations at the GCDP monthly breakfast meeting on May 18th

Items needed are:

Toilet Paper

Paper Towels

Boxes of Kleenex

Laundry Detergent (both regular and HE)

Dryer Sheets

Kitchen Dish Towels

Clorox Wipes

Twin sheets and pillow cases (oddly, these are consumable because it’s transitional housing)

Your Donations can also be delivered to GCDP HQ daily from 9 am to 3 pm.

This worthy and important effort needs you. Please make a contribution of one of the items above
