Legislating in a red state is difficult enough. But it’s even worse with 47 in office and the Freedom Caucus driving the bus. Legislators in states like ours are emboldened by what they’ve seen in the past 85 days and they want to see more of it here at home.

Into this, week after week our elected officials go forward, tilting at the windmills and fighting the good fight. We asked three of these warriors — Rep. Chandra Dillard, Rep. Wendell Jones, and Councilman Ennis Fant — to talk to us today about what it’s like to govern in the Age of Trump and specifically to give us some ideas on ways we can support their efforts.
