Why Can’t We Close the Charleston Loophole Town Hall

June 24 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

10 years after the Charleston Shootings are you tired of inaction? Tired of worrying about the safety of your family?

All the Republican and Democratic members representing Greenville County in the Legislature have been invited to discuss this issue and to answer our questions about gun violence, hate crimes, and more. The Democratic electeds — Sen. Karl Allen, whose colleague and friend Sen. Clementa Pinckney was killed in the attack; Representatives Chandra Dillard and Wendell Jones — have committed to attend.

We also have two featured speakers:

  • Malcolm Graham, whose sister – Cynthia Hurd – was killed at Mother Emanuel will tell the story of his family’s journey.
  • Melody McFadden is a survivor of multiple gun violence incidents that took the lives of her family and friends. She is a national representative for Moms Demand Action and a Greenville resident.

This event is sponsored by Democratic Women of Greenville County, the GCDP, and Moms Demand. Join us for this important discussion and an opportunity to address at least some of our legislators face to face.

Register to attend, or also signup to speak and tell your story, ask your question.
