The Next 100 Years of Democracy

The League of Women Voters celebrates their 101st anniversary with a look at the next 100 years of American democracy.

The League will host a conversation with staffers from a few of the most influential offices in Congress. We’ll reflect on the many civil rights successes we have witnessed, the continued fight to protect the right to vote, and a vision for our democracy in the 21st century.

Hear from legislators like Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and Senator Angus King, and share your questions on a panel that includes: 

• Laura Peterson, Legislative Counsel for Senator Tester,

• Allison Hunn, Policy Advisor and Counsel for Senator Merkley; &

• Bill VanHorne, Chief Counsel for Senator Cardin.
