The MCC is a program that brings a space for social support as well as direct healthcare services and connection to community resources to places where LGBTQ+ people may be socially isolated and without the resources and services they need.

In conjunction with this event, Pride Link has partnered with SC DHEC to hold a COVID-19 vaccine clinic from 10am to 2pm on the same day and location. The pandemic has, and continues to, disproportionately affect the LGBTQ+ community. Due to access issues and discrimination in healthcare settings, LGBTQ+ people have poorer health outcomes than non-LGBTQ+ people. This community is also more likely to work in settings highly affected by COVID-19 and has been severely impacted economically by being out of work due to COVID-19 because a large proportion is already living on lower incomes than non-LGBTQ+ people.
