The week of May 6-10,  is Upstate Gun Violence Survivors Week. South Carolina Moms Demand Action is hosting events for gun violence Survivors in upstate South Carolina in three different venues – Greenville, Anderson, and Spartanburg.  We identify a Survivor as anyone directly affected by a gun death, be it by unintentional or intentional shooting, suicide, domestic violence, etc.  Come all!  Those who are Survivors and those who want to support Survivors.

At this event, we ask everyone to bring a favorite dish to share that was a favorite of the person taken by gun violence.

We are going to have a silent auction to raise money for a tombstone for a young man taken a few years ago from gun violence and whose grave is unmarked.  Donated items will be on display and bid upon all week, with the closing of the auction Friday evening.
