 Help us reach out to voters, increase awareness of these dangerous bills, and give voters the information they need to call their elected officials and support the public education system that the vast majority of our students are enrolled in, not undermine it by diverting funding to private and religious schools.
Legislation that will divert critical funding from our education system is making its way through the State Legislature. One bill would give private and religious schools as much as $100 million in tax credits, and another would provide state money to assist students attending private and religious schools with tuition and fees. Both are explicitly prohibited in the state Constitution. But the legislators have a solution to that: Change the Constitution. Phone banking will be both in person and virtually.
