Democratic Women’s Book Club

July 24 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Read the book but come for the discussion and the camaraderie. If you haven’t read the book – come anyway. Maybe after hearing about it, you may want to. Book Club is the fourth Thursday of each month at the Foxcroft Wine Company on Main St., Greenville, at 5:30 p.m. (Just in time for Happy Hour). Because what’s a book club without wine?

For July, we’ll be reading The Yellow Wife by Sadeqa Johnson. This historical novel follows the harrowing journey of Pheby Delores Brown, a young woman born into slavery who is unexpectedly thrust into the infamous Devil’s Half-Acre jail. It’s a powerful and emotional story of resilience, sacrifice, and survival — one that’s sure to spark meaningful conversation.

If you have any questions about the group, or the book, contact us. Please put Book Club in the subject line.
