We have an extraordinary opportunity to hold a community conversation about predatory lending at the Peace Center’s Gunter Theater in 2 weeks on March 15th at 6pm. George Davis, III, the Director of Community Engagement & Impact with the Peace Center, will interview 5 leaders in SC to help clarify the issue in our state, talk about who is being harmed and share what the solution is. We would like to have hundreds of our neighbors there and we need your help to push this event out to your stakeholders and constituents.

We are building our grassroots network of advocates in earnest as we move closer to having legislation introduced in Columbia that will cap interest rates in our state at 36% (as opposed to the triple digit rates many of our neighbors currently struggle to pay).
