Girls’ Education is key to tackling some of the world’s most pressing challenges. Investing in girls’ education benefits and transforms the entire global community. Girls who receive an education are more likely to delay marriage and early childbearing, have smaller families, and contribute to resilient societies. Yet 129 million girls are out of school and more are expected to not return as school systems restart and regroup after Covid-19. Persistent gender bias, poverty, violence, and harmful social and cultural norms continue to create barriers to educating girls.
