Pastors United for Action, and the New South Carolina Organizing Project (NSCOP) are joining forces to present the “1st in the Nation: Black Agenda Townhall Series.” The series begins on January 16, 2024, at 6:00 PM at the Phillis Wheatley Community Center in Greenville, SC, and will offer a unique platform for presidential campaigns to directly address the critical issues facing Black communities across America.
The sponsors have invited candidates representing an independent voice and the two major political parties.
Dr. Cornel West, an independent candidate for president, Â has accepted the invitation and will speak to the community on Jan. 16, 2024. On Jan. 29, a representative of President Joe Biden’s is expected to be participating.
Representatives of the Democratic and Republican parties will join the conversation at future events to be held prior to the respective primaries.
The “1st in the Nation: Black Agenda Forum” is open to the public and will be recorded for later viewing. Registration is required. Doors open at 5:30; program begins at 6 p.m.
