President, Democratic Women
Do Something.
It’s not just a slogan; it’s a call to action. The clock is running and we have a lot of voters to reach; a lot of people to get to the polls.
Dem Women has three activities we are encouraging you to sign up for. We hope you’ll consider doing at least one shift on one of these activities. If you’re new to GOTV (Get Out the Vote), feel free to reach out to me for information or encouragement. All GOTV activities are more fun when you do them with friends, as well.

Phone Banking
Dem Women will be organizing phone banking five nights over the two week period of Early Voting. We’ll be calling people to get them out to the polls and promoting our entire Democratic slate from the top down.
We’ll be based at the GCDP Headquarters on the following nights: Monday Oct. 21, Friday, Oct. 25, Monday, Oct. 28 and Wednesday, Oct. 30. Sign up on Mobilize.
Phone banking can also be done virtually. When you sign up you’ll get a list number and instructions on using Action ID (if you’ve never done it before). There will also be a Zoom during these times so anyone calling from home can ask questions and get support. Click here to join the Zoom (save this link in your calendar)
Community Lit Dropping
This is important – and easy! No door knocking is involved. You’re just going to drop GOTV door hangers off at homes in your community. You will tell us where you live and how many doors you’d like to hit. You do it at your own time, on your own schedule. We’ll give you a list of presumptive Democratic addresses in the area you specify. And you’ll use an app on your phone to track addresses you’ve covered. Super easy. Email me for more information and support.
Election Night Tape Collection
It doesn’t get any easier than this, but also very important to the GCDP and our outstanding candidates. On Election Night, once the polls close, each location is required to post the vote totals on the door/window before closing up. We are asking for a volunteer in each of our 153 precincts to commit to going over to your polling place between 7 and 7:30 and taking a photo of the publicly posted tape to send to county chair, Amanda McDougald Scott. If the poll is still open, you might have to go back a little later. To volunteer for this important data collection, please email Stephanie Leonard, the GCDP’s Precinct Coordinator.
Doing any one of these activities is very helpful to the candidates and the Party. But you can make a bigger impact by doing more than one.
