DESCRIPTION:All liberal minded people are invited to attend the weekly social gathering of the Greenville Chapter of Drinking Liberally. \nThe local group is now meeting on Weds. from 6-8PM at Otherlands Brewing\, 731 Rutherford Road. \nPlease come prepared to share your wit and wisdom as we discuss current events from a progressive\, liberal perspective! \nPlease note that our agreement with Other Lands comes with a few stipulations: \n\nNo outside food or drink\, please!\nIn lieu of paying them to rent the space\, they’re letting us pay our way in food and drink–so if you join us\, please chip in by having something to eat or drink!\nPlease note that\, as part of their rental policy\, all tabs will have a 20% gratuity added to them. Book Club is the fourth Thursday of each month at the Foxcroft Wine Company on Main St.\, Greenville\, at 5:30 p.m. (Just in time for Happy Hour). Because what’s a book club without wine? \nFor August\, we’ll turn to Poverty\, by America by Matthew Desmond. This is a searing and insightful look into the systems that perpetuate poverty in the U.S.\, and it challenges us to rethink what we assume about wealth\, injustice\, and national priorities. \n\nIf you have any questions about the group\, or the book\, contact us. SUMMARY:Mauldin Gateway Bridge Protest
DESCRIPTION:Every Sunday at 2 p.m.\, join the South Greenville Democrats as they protest the actions of the Trump Administration with a rally along the Gateway Bridge in Mauldin. \nProtest this Sunday (and every Sunday) on the bridge over 385 at Bridgeway Station from 2-3pm\n1000 Via Corso Ave\, Simpsonville\, SC 29681.\n\nOrganizer has a “protest permit” and the awareness/permission of the Mauldin City police.\n\nThemes: Anti-Nazi\, Anti-Kings\, Pro-US Constitution. Bring signs with writing large enough to be seen from the highway. Restrictions: Allow pedestrian traffic and do not attach signs to the fence on the bridge.\n\nThere is NO restriction on the number of people. Come one\, come all.
